Black Sheep Don´t Lie
Join us for the evening showing of Black Sheep Don’t Lie, a performance event featuring a series of short live works developed earlier that day during an intensive one-day workshop led by performance artist Larysa Bauge. Presented as part of De Generator’s Stop Femicide programme, Black Sheep Don’t Lie creates space for artistic reflection on visibility, shame, power, refusal and the body. Through performance, personal experience becomes a shared moment between performer and audience.
The showing
Rather than a polished final presentation, the evening offers a rare opportunity to witness work in process by several artists. The performances may be quiet, physical, symbolic, direct, absurd, political or intimate. Some use movement, text, sound or personal objects; others rely on presence alone. Each participant decides what remains hidden and what becomes visible.
Presented in the context of De Generator’s Stop Femicide programme, Black Sheep Don’t Lie explores themes such as visibility, shame, pressure, refusal and the body. The evening showing is not about finished answers or personal confession, but about performance as a way of giving form to experiences that are often silenced, softened or left unseen.
The showing is open to everyone who is curious about contemporary performance art, artistic process and the ways personal experience can be transformed into live work.
